… Because they spoke to me [ The Good]

Scribbles

‘ when we were children we did not hesitate. Seizing the crayon, we attacked the paper with passionate intent…’

Choose carefully what you copy,

‘draw mad , draw eccentric…A minor artist can be useful to you ….in broadening your style….choose as you would choose friends, let them suite your natural rhythm and be life enhancing…a bad picture like a bad friend  can make you sick….’

‘almost every great artist has copied …to copy well is to choose to enter an exceptional mind…

‘…like a sun dying in the dark, the presence communicates… in the smallest book or the worst reproduction…even when torn’

‘Copy what you want, only what you want’

‘Copy for pleasure’

‘Copy for yourself …’

‘Copy what attracts you

do not imitate…. it may only become apparent once you start…Use your own gesture…’

and yet I can capture the originals spirit… 🙂
